Welcome, I'm so glad you're here. I'm Heather Semke, the founder and principal interior decorator of FUNCY DECOR. I believe your home can be both FUN and FUNCtional—a direct reflection of you, your personality, and how you live, work, and entertain.
My work has been featured on the social media platforms of Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Teen, Overstock, Wayfair, Target, Christopher Knight Brands, Kirklands Home, Abbyson, Levin Furniture, and AtHome Stores. I also was invited to be a small business full-page advertiser in the Architectural Digest 100 January 2022 issue. I have a Masters in Corporate Communications and an IT & Consulting background working for Fortune 500 companies. I received the Angi 2021 and 2022 Super Service Award and the Best of Houzz Service Award 2022, 2023 and 2024. I have a five-star rating across all platforms.
I love my family (hubby, Tim, two teenage kids, and two precious rescue dogs), live concerts, music (my husband and I are formidable Name that Tune players), movies and their quotes, hiking, and hanging out or traveling with dear friends.
