Best Service Awards Winner

As I near the first anniversary of business on May 15, 2022, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and pride. I have been blessed with a continual flow of clients, referrals and repeat client projects. The joy on my client's faces and their reviews were certainly more than enough for me. Then, I received the 2022 Best of Houzz Service and Angi 2021 Super Service Awards. It was a HUGE honor because it is ALL about the client!

The Angi Super Service Award (SSA). This award honors service professionals who have maintained high service ratings and reviews on Angi in 2021. “These outstanding businesses have helped homeowners not only maintain their homes, but also evolve them into spaces that can handle life, work, school and entertainment under one roof,” said Bryan Ellis, senior executive at Angi. “Our homeowners’ consistent positive reviews make it clear: these are the top pros in our network. Congratulations to this year's Super Service Award winners."

The Best of Houzz Service award recognizes pros providing great service to their customers, and are based on several factors, including a pro's overall rating on Houzz and client reviews submitted in the same year as the award period. Just 3% of the 2.7 million home design and remodeling professionals on Houzz receive this award each year. These badges help the more than 65 million homeowners and home design enthusiasts on Houzz to identify popular and top-rated home professionals for their projects.

I am proud of my accomplishments to date which include earning my Interior Decorator certification, being invited to be a small business advertiser in Architectural Digest's AD 100 issue, being featured in Real Homes magazine and on varying brand's websites or social media including Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn for Kids, Grandin Road, Target, Kirkland's Home, Lamps Plus, Christopher Knight Brands, and Soergel's Home Accents.

I am a part of a vibrant decorator's community on Instagram and a strong small, women-owned business community through Beyond Boss in Pittsburgh. I also have brought on two freelancers and a Summer Intern who are outstanding human beings and valuable assets to FUNCY DECOR's growth.

As I reflect on my first year, I truly feel like FUNCY DECOR fits a niche in the interior decorating and design market. There are many who wonder how they can accomplish their decorating goals; especially if they are not remodeling or changing floor layouts. Some are turned away from projects because their budgets are not big enough.

I assure you that no matter the size of your project, you have a home at FUNCY DECOR. It's my goal to continue exceeding expectations and I hope that if you are considering hiring an Interior Decorator, that you look no further. I have you covered!
